Jacoby Architects designed the addition and renovation of this 1950s vintage mountain lodge at Alta Ski Resort. The addition to Rustler Lodge included a two-story guest room wing constructed in concrete over an existing wood structure, a five-story guest room wing adjacent to the existing facility, a central concrete tower containing a new top floor bar, a spa and exercise room, a ski shop, and a new earth-covered facility including dressing rooms, a steam room, and a pool deck. The renovation included various upgrades to the existing guest rooms and remaining lodge.
In 2014, Jacoby Architects designed a further expansion to the interior spa, exterior spa deck, and additional rooms over the pool, all tucked under a planted roof meadow to maintain the ski-in, ski-out access to the lodge.
